Not someone I've ever studied in great detail but fantastic story and museum. So ahead of his time
Excellent place to visit been many times

Brilliant location. A little off the beaten track so less crowded than other parts of the Lake District
A really beautiful spot with a range of walks for all ages. Car park was very busy when we arrived but we managed to find a place after a little wait (it was a bank holiday weekend at 3pm!). Good to see disabled parking at the top of the valley so people who are not mobile can see the view - which is breathtaking! Car park free if a NT member otherwise £5 for two hours then progressively more expensive. NT staff were very helpful and friendly. Lots of space for people to have a picnic. A really lovely family spot, highly recommended.
One of my favourite places in the lakes. Great walks for every level. And water activity from kyacking to open water swimming. Pubs and food are faultless. Oslo plenty of camping sites in and around the village. Let's not forget the history behind the mines and Donald Campbell. With the bluebird.
Lovely place to visit for views & walks. Cafe does nice food to
