Petrol priced in line with nearby establishments. Attached shop was a little small but had enough options for a dinner.
There is a post office in here to get free cash out which i dont think you will find anywhere else in Coniston. Good opening hours for the countryside.
One of my favourite places in the lakes. Great walks for every level. And water activity from kyacking to open water swimming. Pubs and food are faultless. Oslo plenty of camping sites in and around the village. Let's not forget the history behind the mines and Donald Campbell. With the bluebird.
The 3rd largest lake in Cumbria. Graveyard of Donald Campbell from 1967 until 2001. This lake has it's history. A visit from the Grand Tour trio in 2017, in the Bond bug. Other than the history, this majestic lake is certainly worth a visit, it is beautiful as it is vast.

We stayed there for 7 nights. Very large and comfortable family room (room number 7). A bit noisy in the early morning, because of the traffic. Newly decorated, new bathroom. Cleaned every day. Good breakfast, but served only from 08:30, so if you leave early, you will have to skip it. Very helpful and kind staff. Very good restaurant and bar in the evenings.
Made to feel very welcome. Warm and comfortable, a few different beers on and really helpful lady (think landlady) behind the bar. Missed food service after a long walk, but was a good spot to grab a couple of beers to wind down.
