Wraydale House, Coniston LA21 8ER, UK – 015394 41205
Incredible. This is an honest review and I can confidently say that I and my girlfriend separately had the best NHS experience we’ve had so far with this surgery. Very efficient, friendly and proactive health advice.
Very professional doctors who know exactly what they're talking about. Very friendly and caring.

Lovely here , also went to the Ruskin Meseum and St Andrews church
Lovely rural church, with quite a good organ!
Coniston Coppermines, Coniston LA21 8HP, UK – 0345 371 9630
Great, small hostel in an amazing location. The two members of staff were very friendly and worked incredibly hard. Clean and tidy, with good self catering facilities. Perfect spot for exploring The Old Man of Coniston. The track to the hostel isn't very good and is steep in places, but that's expected for a remote retreat.
Little out of the way, which I felt was a good thing. Terraced house. Great housing for groups of 20ish
Holly How, Far End, Coniston LA21 8DD, UK – 0345 371 9511
A warm and friendly welcome. Coniston Holly How is family run and Glen the manager really shows that it is a labour of love running the hostel. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. They weren't trying to shove too many beds in each room like they do at other YHA's. The location is incredibly convenient. It is walking distance from a lot of things. Food is very good too. I would give it six stars if I could.
Great space to use for our staff training accommodation. Would definitely stay again

Petrol priced in line with nearby establishments. Attached shop was a little small but had enough options for a dinner.
There is a post office in here to get free cash out which i dont think you will find anywhere else in Coniston. Good opening hours for the countryside.
One of my favourite places in the lakes. Great walks for every level. And water activity from kyacking to open water swimming. Pubs and food are faultless. Oslo plenty of camping sites in and around the village. Let's not forget the history behind the mines and Donald Campbell. With the bluebird.
The 3rd largest lake in Cumbria. Graveyard of Donald Campbell from 1967 until 2001. This lake has it's history. A visit from the Grand Tour trio in 2017, in the Bond bug. Other than the history, this majestic lake is certainly worth a visit, it is beautiful as it is vast.
Main Road, Torver, Coniston LA21 8AZ, UK – 015394 49159
We stayed there for 7 nights. Very large and comfortable family room (room number 7). A bit noisy in the early morning, because of the traffic. Newly decorated, new bathroom. Cleaned every day. Good breakfast, but served only from 08:30, so if you leave early, you will have to skip it. Very helpful and kind staff. Very good restaurant and bar in the evenings.
Made to feel very welcome. Warm and comfortable, a few different beers on and really helpful lady (think landlady) behind the bar. Missed food service after a long walk, but was a good spot to grab a couple of beers to wind down.
Esk Villa, Tilberthwaite Avenue, Coniston LA21 8ED, UK – 015394 41928
We started going when they had a pop up in a local Coniston cafe. Excellent food, excellent service and lovey decor. I like that it is BYO bottle as it means you don't need to buy over priced wine! Can't recommend it enough. Always very friendly and welcoming. Make sure you book in advance.
Fantastic setting, candle kit and quirky. One of the best meals i have ever had the pleasure to eat (slow cooked beef) attentive staff and not stupidly expansive. Can't recommend this place enough.
4 Yewdale Rd, Coniston LA21 8DU, UK – 015394 41912
Nice place to eat. Very welcoming when our other plans fell through, due to weather change and fading sunlight. If you are heading here, bring your own bottle. (Shop across road sells all you could want to drink, alcoholic). Also only cash so bars near by will offer cash back from a debit card without purchase. Overall friendly and decent. If in area again would be hard not to go back.
Good restaurant, and probably the best choice in the town for a vegetarian, as they have plenty of suitable choices available. The food is good, and very filling; I actually left the last of our naan bread which is unusual for me! They aren't licenced to sell alcohol but are happy for you to bring your own, and have plenty of soft drinks available.
Coach House, East of Lake, Coniston LA21 8AD, UK – 015394 49025
Fine but had to wait a while as they'd forgotten about our drinks order.
Get there early because it gets busy. Great place
